More about this piece
A pattern that recalls a woven rug: rows of dark walnut squares and pale beech pieces repeating in a steady rhythm along the board. It's large and fairly thick, 41 cm long and 3.6 cm deep, so it works for carving meat and as a serving board in the middle of the table.
It has a juice groove, a grip cut into the side and rubber feet underneath.
Like every board that leaves the workshop, this one started as raw lumber: milled, cut, glued with high-quality adhesives and sanded. The wood was then soaked in mineral oil, sealed with Ledicode board oil (food-safe and VOC-free) and finished with a hard Deylina wax that seals the pores of the wood.
Care: wash by hand with water and mild soap, and dry right away. Not dishwasher safe. Every so often, rub in a thin coat of board oil to keep the wood in good shape for years.
